Every job in this troop is done by a parent or volunteer. Here’s who does what, and where we could use a hand.
Three ways to help
You don’t have to run a position to help. Pick the level that fits your life.
Hold it
Take the position and own it. You’re the person the committee turns to for that job.Take the position and own it.
Back it up
Learn a key job next to the person who holds it, and cover when they can’t.Learn the job and cover when the holder can’t.
Support it

Scouting America suggests about an hour a week, but the position is what you make of it. Limited time? We’ll work with that.

Every position here is an official Scouting America role. Each needs a registration with a background check, Safeguarding Youth Training once a year, and the short online course on its card.Official Scouting America roles. How to start a merit badge
Pick a badge you want to earn.
Talk to the Scoutmaster. They’ll sign your blue card and give you a counselor’s contact.
Reach out to the counselor with a parent or another adult copied on every message.
Meet, finish the requirements, then bring your signed card back to the Scoutmaster.
